“Navigating Social Events: Eat Pizza, Enjoy Wine, Stay on Track”

Ella was excited for her friend’s party. There would be pizza, wine, and lots of yummy treats, but she didn’t want to feel bad afterward. “Can I eat what I want and still feel good?” she wondered. Her big brother smiled and said, “Of course! You can have fun and still stay on track if you’re smart about it.” Ella learned a little trick: when there’s pizza, she could fill her plate with veggies first, and then have just two slices of pizza. “It’s about balance,” he said. She sipped a little wine but remembered that it’s not about drinking too much. “Just enjoy it, but listen to your tummy,” he added. At the party, Ella tried her plan, and it worked! She had pizza, wine, and lots of laughter with friends without feeling guilty. By listening to her body and making simple choices, she could enjoy the night without overdoing it. Ella felt proud because she could enjoy the party, have fun, and still feel good inside. She learned that it’s possible to eat the foods she loves and still take care of herself!
