How to Incorporate Cardio Without Losing Muscle

John loved lifting weights and wanted to get bigger muscles. But he also knew he needed to stay healthy, so he wanted to add some cardio to his routine. He was worried that doing too much cardio might make him lose the muscles he worked so hard to build. One day, his coach said, “John, you can do both! The key is balancing your cardio and lifting, so you don’t lose muscle.” The coach explained that doing too much cardio, like running for hours, can use up energy and slow down muscle growth. But if John did short bursts of cardio, like 20-30 minutes of running or cycling a few times a week, it would actually help his heart stay healthy without taking away from his muscle gains. John tried it and felt great! He was able to keep his muscles while getting his heart stronger, too. By keeping his cardio sessions short and focused, John realized he didn’t have to choose between muscle and cardio. He could have both! John felt proud of his balanced routine and excited to keep making progress in both areas.
