Are ‘Optimal’ Exercises Overhyped?

Sam always heard people talk about “optimal exercises.” “You have to do these for the best results!” they said. So Sam tried them all, hoping to see quick muscle growth. But after a while, he felt frustrated. “Why isn’t this working for me?” he asked his coach. The coach smiled and said, “Sam, there’s no one-size-fits-all in fitness.” The coach explained that some exercises might be “optimal” for one person, but not for everyone. “Your body is unique, and what matters most is finding exercises you enjoy and that work for you,” the coach said. Sam realized that chasing “perfect” exercises wasn’t the answer. Instead of stressing over what was “optimal,” he started focusing on what made him feel strong and happy. Sam began experimenting with different moves and found that variety kept his workouts fun and exciting. Sam learned that fitness isn’t about following the latest trends—it’s about finding what feels right for his body. He felt proud and content, knowing that there was no perfect exercise, just the perfect fit for him.
